DIGGING FOR EXTRA CASH?

THE STATE OF MAINE IS HOLDING $259,354,200 IN UNCLAIMED MONEY

For a variety of reasons, people and businesses are “leaving money on the table.” These funds legally belong to them and there can be a number of reasons it happens. They lose track of investments or bank accounts, move away without leaving a forwarding address, maybe they died and the life insurance proceeds remain unclaimed, perhaps they are due a refund, or finally they think it’s just not worth it. Retrieving your money is FREE, it’s yours, and you shouldn’t be tempted to pay anyone to retrieve it for you. In my district of Harrison, Bridgton and Denmark there is a total of over $130,000 of unclaimed property according to the Secretary of States office. Here a breakdown:

Bridgton 260 claims $71,740 7 over $1,000 each Harrison 144 claims $44,338 5 over $1,000 each Denmark 54 claims $ 5,314 1 over $1,000
